Resuming a conversation

Learn how to resume conversations without interactions for more than 24 hours!

Conversations that remain inactive for more than 24 hours will have the text input field locked. To resume the conversation, you must send a new template message.

This happens because Meta considers it a new conversation after 24 hours of inactivity. Once the template is sent to resume the conversation, the text input field will only be unlocked after the contact responds.

This measure helps avoid unnecessary charges from Meta if the contact does not reply within the next 24 hours.

If the contact sends a message after 24 hours, the text input field will also be unlocked. This happens because Meta considers the conversation as receptive, allowing the interaction to resume without the need for a new template message.
