Official WhatsApp Business Account
Companies on the WhatsApp Business platform can request an official business account, which has a verified badge on the profile and in the conversation thread headers.
Before You Start
You will need to verify the company or demonstrate a high-quality messaging history with a minimum of 1,000 conversations in 30 consecutive days.
You will need approval for your business display name.
Two-step verification must be enabled.
The phone number for which you want to request an official business account must be using the correct display name. You can change the display name on WhatsApp Business before requesting the official business account.
How to Request an Official WhatsApp Business Account
Go to the Business Settings and select your business portfolio.
Click on "All tools."
Click on "WhatsApp Manager."
In the WhatsApp Accounts section, find and click on the phone number for which you want to request the official business account.
In the Profile section, find the "Official Business Account" and click on "Submit Request."
Note: If you haven’t yet set up two-step verification for the phone number, click on "Activate Two-Step Verification" or follow the steps to activate it. You must complete this step before submitting a request for an official business account.
Enter the required information to request the official business account. You can submit up to five supporting links to show that your business is notable.
Click "Submit."
Important: The supporting links for approval must be external links where your company is mentioned. The company's name cannot be in the domain of the link.
Once your request has been reviewed, within 48 hours, you will receive a notification informing you whether the official business account has been granted to your company. If your request is rejected, you can submit a new request after 30 days.
